The indre in Central France is colourful and picturesque - there are plenty od lovely landscapes as an ispiration for painters and photographers

Central France has many superb picturesque towns and villages offering plenty of inspiration to artists, photographers and writers, as well as simply lovely for sightseeing.

This year the Tour de France visits the Indre again - this time very close to our bed & breakfast. The riders depart Limoges at around 12h30 on 14th July and pass through Crevant, La Chatre, St Chartier and up to Issodun.

For those interested in cycling and the Tour de France in particular, then mid July could be a great time to visit Central France.

We are in great cycling country and the Tour de France offers some good spectator sport locations this year within a 20 - 60 minute drive from our bed and breakfast accommodation. See the end of stage 10 at Issodun (1 hour) or the start of stage 11 at Vatan (1 hour 20 mins).

14th July: The riders depart Limoges at 12h30 and ride through our local villages and towns of Crevant, La Châtre, St Chartier and end at Issodun.

15th July: Start of the 11th stage is at Vatan. The riders depart at 12h50.
